So here was one of the ideas I was considering for this year, IF I do another motif a day. A daisy blanket. However, the daisies would remain the same for each square, and the color around it would change for the high temperature.

There is a link to a second page (photo tutorial) on how to add rounds.
However, the written pattern uses double crochet for the rounds after the daisy and I think I am going to try to adapt it to be more solid. I don’t particularly like holes.
