These patterns MIGHT work for making a weekly square instead of a daily square for a temperature or mood blanket. I have not tried out all the patterns though to see if they are adaptable. They need to be able to have 7 rounds, plus maybe a border. If the pattern calls for a different number of rounds or rows, you might be able to adapt them.

Size can be tailored to your requirements through repeating pattern as many times as you need. Just use your normal yarn and hook.
This square is worked in rows and then a border is worked around it. It is classified as ?easy.? Stitches used are Sc, Dc, Hdc, LSC and the Elmore stitch (which is fully explained.)

This book has lots of motifs, but I liked and tried this one out. I had to tweak a little bit to make 7 rows of color and then a white border.
This beautiful textured square is so full of texture! The pattern is such a simple repeating pattern, once you get the repeat down you will have no issues with the pattern.
Of course, doing a regular solid granny is a possibility also:
